The welcome email is the first message a new subscriber or customer gets from you. The Welcome Email generator writes it, a short message that thanks the reader, confirms what they joined, says what comes next and gives one clear first step.
Every result starts with three subject lines of up to 50 characters and a preview text of up to 90. The body stays around 90 to 160 words, greets the reader by name and ends with a button text of up to four words. There is no footer or unsubscribe line, because your sending platform adds them.
The form asks only for the recipient name, which can be a real name or a merge tag like {{first_name}}, kept exactly as written. The rest comes from the company details you saved in Brand Voice. When they are missing, the email uses placeholders such as [brand name] and [link] instead of guessing. The tool is part of the Email family.
What you get
- Three subject lines to choose from, none longer than 50 characters
- One preview text of up to 90 characters
- A body of about 90 to 160 words that thanks, confirms the sign-up and says what to expect and how often
- One first step with a button text of up to four words
What you fill in
- Recipient name optional
-
e.g. Marco, or your email tool's first-name merge tag such as {{first_name}}
How to use it, step by step
-
Save your brand details in Brand Voice
Add your company, what people sign up for and the main benefit. The welcome email reads them from there, so the form can stay short.
-
Open Welcome Email and enter the recipient name
Type a name for a one-off message, or the merge tag of your email tool, such as {{first_name}}, for an automated sequence.
-
Choose language and tone, then generate
Pick a warm or more formal tone to match your brand. Ask for more than one result to compare clearly different versions.
-
Fill the placeholders and load it in your platform
Replace anything in square brackets, add the link to the button and paste the email into your automation as the first step.

Tips for better results
- Fill Brand Voice before using this tool. With the details there, the email needs far fewer placeholders.
- Keep the merge tag exactly as your platform writes it. The tool does not change it, so a typo stays a typo.
- Pick one first step only. Visiting a page, completing a profile or replying with a question are all good options, but not all three.
Who uses it, and for what
Newsletter publishers
Write the automatic email that greets every new subscriber and sets expectations on frequency.
Online shops
Welcome a customer after their first account sign-up and point them to the right first page.
SaaS and apps
Send the first onboarding message with one action, such as completing the profile.
Clubs, studios and local businesses
Greet new members with what to expect and a single next step, such as booking a first visit.
Limits and good practice
- It writes one email, not a full onboarding sequence. Generate later messages with the Email Generator.
- It does not add the unsubscribe link or legal footer, your sending platform does that.
- Offers, discounts and frequencies appear only if they are in Brand Voice. Check every promise before sending.
- Each generation uses credits from your plan, see pricing or create an account.
Frequently asked questions
What should a welcome email include?
A thank you, a confirmation of what the person joined, what they will receive and how often, and one clear first step. The generator follows this structure in about 90 to 160 words, with three subject lines and a preview text.
Can I use merge tags like {{first_name}}?
Yes. Type the merge tag of your email platform in the Recipient name field and it is kept exactly as written in the greeting. Your platform then replaces it with each subscriber's name when it sends the email.
Where does the tool get my brand details?
From the company and product information you save in Brand Voice. The form itself asks only for the recipient name. If Brand Voice is empty, the email uses placeholders like [brand name], [main benefit] and [link], which you fill before sending.
How long should a welcome email be?
Short enough to read in one glance. The tool keeps the body to about 90 to 160 words, with one button.
Does it add an unsubscribe link?
No, on purpose. Email platforms add the unsubscribe link and the legal footer automatically to every campaign, so including them in the body would duplicate them. Check your platform settings to make sure the footer is active.
